Tooth Replacement Solutions in San Diego County

Due to advancements in dental technology, dental implant dentures can now be used to secure dentures in place, making them look, act, and feel like real teeth. Traditional dentures remain popular and can be an affordable option for many patients. Our doctors create durable, well-fitting complete dentures and strive to make them as aesthetically pleasing as possible. They may request you bring in pictures from when you had all your teeth and will use these as a guide to match your natural look as closely as possible.

Denture Patient Testimonial

“I had just moved from New York and had a horrible set of teeth (dentures) made, which didn’t allow me to eat food properly. When I met the doctors they sat me down and explained what they could do. They took time to listen to my concerns and needs. Everyone was very friendly at every one of my visits. They always make you feel welcome. They addressed all my concerns. They did not rush the procedures and made sure I was completely satisfied after all steps were completed. The doctors at the practice work together as a team. They are friendly and personable and make you feel completely relaxed and comfortable. I would send my friends and family here."

Options for Dentures

We offer multiple denture options, including full and partial dentures, as well as implant-supported dentures. Our doctors, including a specialized denturist, will discuss your options, but here's a summary:

  • Full dentures. Full dentures require all the teeth to be removed. The dentures fit over the gums and are held in place with an adhesive. We offer acrylic and flexible acrylic options.
  • Partial dentures. Traditional partial dentures are secured by metal clasps, which fit around existing teeth.
  • No-metal flexible partial dentures. We offer metal-free Valplast® flexible acrylic partials. With this option, you don't have to worry about people noticing your partial denture.
  • Immediate dentures. These are aesthetic, functional temporary dentures, which are placed immediately after teeth are extracted. They are worn until your permanent dentures are ready to be placed.
  • Implant-supported dentures. These dentures snap onto dental implants for enhanced stability and function. You can choose either fixed or removable versions, depending on your preferences.
  • Denture stabilization. In some cases, our doctors can retrofit your existing dentures with attachments so they can snap onto dental implants.
  • Relines and repairs. We reline dentures to make them fit more comfortably, and we also do repairs.

Valplast® flexible acrylic dentures

We offer Valplast® full and partial flexible acrylic dentures, which are very comfortable, durable, and natural-looking. The resin (the pink nylon material) is guaranteed never to break under normal wear and tear for the lifetime of the denture. Typical partial dentures are made with visible metal clasps, but the Valplast flexible partial is metal-free. The result is a comfortable fit and natural appearance.

Denture Stabilization

For improved comfort and stability, our doctors recommend denture stabilization using dental implants. Implants are titanium posts placed in the bones of your jaw to act as artificial tooth roots. The more implants used, the more secure and natural-looking your denture will be. Here's how the process works:

The doctor will fit your new dentures with special attachments that snap securely onto dental implants. In some cases they can even retrofit your existing denture to work with dental implants.

When the procedure is done, you will be able to snap your dentures on in the morning and remove them at night for cleaning.
